The Amazon class destroyer was ordered and built during the peace time between World War 1 and World War 2.
The destroyer in the game as a good variety of weapons, from short range double mount guns to single mount long range guns, however the guns have poor penetration power, so you will need to keep the torpedo. It also has very large displacement, this allows a lot of armor on the ship, so during low levels, you are nearly invincible, this will allow you to close in the distant between you and your enemy to fire your torpedo accurately. The speed on the destroyer is good, but changing speed and direction will take some time.
