History[]
The Gnevny class destroyer is a class of destroyers that were built for the Soviet Navy. A total of 30 destroyers were built, they were built in the 1930s to the 1940s. Their official designation was Project 7. The ships were extremely similar to Italian destroyers built for the Greeks and Turks. However, the ship suffered a weakness, therefore, Project 7U (Soobrazitelnyy-class) was made as the replacement. The remaining 4 ships were transferred to the People's Liberation Army Navy.
